KOLAM Privacy Policy

KOLAM is an offline-first logic puzzle. You do not need an account to play, and the puzzles themselves work with no network connection. AARS does not sell player personal information.

What the app stores on your device

KOLAM keeps your progress on the device itself: completed puzzles, stars, moves, hint usage, Daily results, streaks, Quick Play progress, chosen language, theme, sound preferences and whether you have seen the tutorial. None of this is sent to AARS.

You can back up, restore or erase all of it from Settings → Manage data. Uninstalling the app also removes it.

Advertising

The Android app shows advertisements supplied by Google AdMob: a full-screen advertisement between some puzzles, and an optional one you can choose to watch in exchange for a hint. Watching is never required to keep playing.

To do this the app requests the Android advertising ID (the AD_ID permission), and AdMob receives it along with technical information such as device type, operating system version, coarse location inferred from IP address, and how the advertisement was interacted with. AARS does not receive or store that data; it is handled by Google under Google's privacy policy.

In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom the app shows Google's consent form before requesting personalised advertising, and your answer is respected. You can reopen it from Settings → Manage data. On Android you can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's own settings.

Purchases

KOLAM Pro is an optional one-time purchase that removes advertisements and gives unlimited hints. Payment is handled entirely by Google Play — AARS never sees your card or billing details.

Purchases and restores are managed through RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app-user identifier and the purchase receipt so your entitlement can be restored on a new device.

Accounts and cloud save

This release does not include cloud save or any sign-in. The Settings screen shows cloud save as unavailable, no account can be created, and no email address, name or game progress is transmitted to any server by this version of the app.

Optional Google sign-in is planned. This policy will be updated, and the store's data-safety declaration changed, in the same release that introduces it — not afterwards.

Analytics

KOLAM does not include an analytics SDK and does not report your gameplay to AARS.

Who receives data

Audience

KOLAM is intended for people aged 13 and over. It is not directed to children under 13, and AARS does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and it will be removed.

Retention and security

Progress stays on your device until you erase it, clear the app's storage, or uninstall. Purchase records are retained by Google Play and RevenueCat under their own policies. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your choices

• Play entirely offline — the puzzles need no connection.
• Decline or withdraw advertising consent (EEA and UK) from Settings → Manage data.
• Reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings.
• Buy KOLAM Pro to remove advertisements altogether.
• Export or erase all local progress from Settings → Manage data.
• Request deletion of anything held about you — see the data deletion page.

Changes

We may update this policy as KOLAM changes. The current version and its effective date will always be on this page.
